Helpers?
Helpers for any rider do not pay a fee if they are only assisting
that rider. It is at the discretion of the Transit driver if a
helper is required for clients with special needs or
assistance. Transit does not provide helpers.
Denver trips?
The Transit will accept at least one medical appointment to Denver
per month. It will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Additional
Denver trips will be scheduled as available.

Available to all Kiowa County residents and guests of
residents. Children under 18 must have a guardian or other adult
present.
Hours of operation
7:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
A 24
hr notice is appreciated to schedule.
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. to schedule an appointment.
The Transit does NOT run on holidays.
The Transit will not run during inclement weather, the driver
will determine if the trip will be cancelled and will call the
rider. A 24-hour cancellation notice is requested. If there is
no notification prior to pick up, the rider may be charged a
fee. The
rider is to call the driver and/or Kiowa County Transit at
(719) 438-5810 to cancel.
Note: Doctors appointments that are greater than 50 miles away must
be made on or after 10 a.m.

Fees vary based on the destination.
Fees vary based on the destination. We have a base fee for medical trips
of $20 for Eads and within Kiowa County. Medical trips to Lamar, Pueblo,
Colorado Springs, Denver, and other destinations are all donation based.
However, a trip to Denver International Airport is $100.
Shopping/Fun trips may be scheduled each month to Colorado Springs,
Pueblo, Lamar, and Garden City. The base cost of each trip is $50 for
the minivan and $80 for the big bus or $10 per rider; whichever is
greater.
Senior Citizen trips may also be scheduled.
Medical trips take precedence over shopping trips; however, scheduling
is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Handicapped Accessible?
Yes. An ADA van is available that holds one wheelchair and a helper.
Note: The
rider must provide a helper if needed. The Transit does not provide a
helper.
